NIH Publishes CBD Guide for Medical Practitioners
PubMed, a publication of the National Institute of Health issued a guide for Medical Practitioners on the use of CBD. Despite all the protests from the FDA as to the proven efficacy of CBD, PubMed acknowledges the reality on the street. Notably, suggesting CBD’s potential role as another option for treating challenging chronic pain or opioid addiction.
The article was originally published by the Mayo Clinic. The objective is to afford clinicians how best to advise their patients on the safest and most evidence-based formulations. Most importantly, it offers clinicians an overview of the scientific work on cannabinoids, CBD, and hemp oil. In addition, making the distinction between marijuana, hemp, and the different components of CBD and hemp oil products.
Finally, the article strongly suggests CBD as a viable method of treating and reducing Opioid addiction.
